Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

  • Thorough Room Cleaning: Efficiently and meticulously clean guest rooms, suites, and public areas to the highest standard. This includes making beds, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising all surfaces, particularly in bathrooms and kitchens.
  • Linen & Amenity Management: Replenish guest supplies such as toiletries, tea/coffee, and linen. Manage the trolley, ensuring it is fully stocked, and correctly handle soiled linen in line with hotel procedures.
  • Quality Control & Reporting: Perform final checks on each room to ensure it meets the brand's visual and hygiene standards. Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost property to the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Guest Interaction: Maintain a polite, professional, and discreet manner at all times. Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently, contributing to a positive guest experience.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all COSHH regulations, safely using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Follow the hotel's safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for yourself, colleagues, and guests.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • 1
Proven Experience: Previous professional experience as a Room Attendant, Housekeeper, or Cleaner in a hotel, serviced apartments, or a similar fast-paced environment is essential.
  • 2
Physical Stamina & Diligence: The role requires being on your feet for long periods, bending, lifting, and pushing trolleys. You must have a strong eye for detail and take pride in delivering flawless work.
  • 3
Reliability & Trustworthiness: As you will be working in guest areas with valuable items, impeccable honesty and reliability are non-negotiable. Punctuality and a strong work ethic are key.
  • 4
Right to Work & Location: You must have the legal right to work in the UK. Being based within a commutable distance of London W1 (Mayfair, Marylebone) is a significant advantage for early starts.
